William J. Peticord

William J. H. Petticord, 95, a resident of Lehigh Acres since 1983, formerly of Wilmington, Del., died May 14. He was a member of The First Presbyterian Church and Gideons as well as The Elks Lodge 307 and American Legion Post 323 in Lehigh.

He is survived by his son, Jeffrey, and grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great and great-great grandchildren, as well as his church family, friends and neighbors who were his extended family.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 at Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home, 12777 State Road 82 in Fort Myers, with Rev. Craig Countiss officiating.

Interment will be private in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory to The First Presbyterian Church, 60 Bell Blvd N., Lehigh Acres, FL 33936. Info. (239) 334-4880
