First teenager added to 10 Most Wanted List

By Staff | May 24, 2011

Todd Chrisp Jr.

A Lee County teenager, with a long history of extreme violence, is being placed on Crime

Stoppers 10 Most Wanted list – the youngest criminal to ever earn that designation.

Todd Chrisp Jr., 17 with a date of birth of July 7, 1993, is currently wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, and the unlawful possession of a firearm by a person under the age of 18, according to Trish Route, CrimeStoppers coordinator.

These latest charges come on the heels of years of violent crimes committed by the teenager. Despite the fact that he’s still a juvenile, Chrisp’s first felony arrest came at the age of just 14 years old for burglary. Then, at age 16 he was arrested for weapons charges and evidence tampering. Shortly thereafter, also at age 16, he was arrested for aggravated battery and attempted second degree murder, Route said.

Chrisp spent nearly a year in jail for those charges, before being released on February

Another shot of Todd Chrisp Jr.

14, 2011. Out of jail just over three months now, Chrisp is back in trouble for – once again

– a string of violent offenses.

Earlier this month, Chrisp is accused of confronting a man at a gas station in North Fort

Myers. When the man got into his vehicle, Chrisp proceeded to follow him, until they

reached the entrance to the victim’s gated community. At that point, the victim got out and

asked why Chrisp was following him.

Chrisp allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim, to which the victim asked if Chrisp was going to shoot him. The victim said Chrisp fired one round, not striking the victim, then fled the area.

In addition to those charges, Chrisp is also a personal of interest in additional violent on-going investigations.

Detectives believe Chrisp is still in the area, and should definitely be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the location of Todd Chrisp Jr., is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
