Jessica Kaplan of Lehigh Acres was one of approximately 700 graduates who received diplomas at Harding University commencement exercises May 14.

Kaplan received a master of education degree in secondary education. Keynote speaker was U.S. Rep. Tim Griffin who represents Arkansas’s Second Congressional District.

College President David B. Burks presented diplomas to all graduates. Harding had a record enrollment this year of more than 6,600 students from all 50 states and 49 foreign countries. It is the largest private university in Arkansas and attracts more National Merit Scholars than any other private university in the state. Harding also maintains campuses in Australia, Chilé, England, France, Greece, Italy and Zambia.
