James Sherman Hughey

Update: Wednesday, June 15, 2011, James Hughey has been located and safely returned home, a spokesman with the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating an 83-year-old man.

James Sherman Hughey, is a while male, five feet, seven inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes. his deate opf birth is my 9, 1928. Authorities said he left his home at 5848 Inverness Circle, North Fort Myers, on Monday, June 13 at approximately 12:30 p.m. to go to the Coral Lanes Bowling Alley.

He never arrived there and hasn’t been seen or heard from. Hughey is on medication but does not have it with him, authorities said. He was last seen driving a gray 4-door 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis bearing Florida tag WAW 848.

It is unknown what Hughey was wearing at the time of his disappearance, officials said.
