Lillian Mae Summers

Lillian Mae Summers, 83, of Lehigh Acres, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at home. She was born in Norfolk, Va., on January 23, 1928 but has lived in Florida since 1946.

At 18 she considered her move to Florida “an adventure.” She is survived by a son, David Belisle; six daughters, Catherine Dixon, Laura Giles, Queen Rodriguez, Lorraine Hicks, Debbie Brown and Judith Serio; one sister, Catherine Duke; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home 12777 State Road 82 in Fort Myers on Monday, July 11 from 11 a.m. until the funeral at 1 pm.

Interment will be in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception will follow at a private family home. Contributions may be made in her name to Hope Hospice 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908. (239) 334-4880.
