The Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Lehigh Class of 2011 will begin in August. The Leadership Lehigh Steering Committee is now accepting applications from present/future community leaders. Officials at the Chamber say Leadership Lehigh provides a hands on program where participants view systems up close, work together to achieve a unique knowledge of resources and services available in the area, region and state.

Leadership Lehigh is an organized training ground for the community’s future leaders.

Leadership Lehigh has four specific objectives:

• Identify Community Leaders.

• Expand the leadership potential of the participants by increasing their knowledge.

• Improve communications between present and future leaders in the community.

• Provide a channel for those presently not in leadership roles to gain access to positions of community leadership in an informed and responsible manner.
