Then, with two outs and an 0-2 count to Davis, who blasted a hanging pitch over the left field wall to put the Manatees ahead for good. It is his 14th home run of the season.

The Miracle didn’t go down quietly, loading the bases in the seventh against reliever Roque Mercedes. With one out, Hidalgo bounced into a 6-4-3 double play to end the game. Hauser (1-3) took the loss.

The Miracle won game one behind a strong performance by starter Kane Holbrooks (4-9), who threw a seven-inning gem. In his best outing of the year, Holbrooks limited the Manatees to one unearned run on four hits, striking out five and walking none to notch the victory.

The Miracle return to Hammond Stadium with a scheduled off day Tuesday. They begin a four-game series beginning Wednesday against the Daytona Cubs.
