Noemi Ramos

A Fort Myers woman arrested last fall for beating, starving and even forcing her children to buy drugs and prostitute for her has been added to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers 10 Most Wanted list.

Noemi Ramos, 41, was originally arrested in October 2010 for four counts of aggravated child abuse and four counts of forced labor/human trafficking. After spending two months behind bars for those actions, she was released from jail and placed on probation, and now has violated those terms.

Ramos’ original arrest came on the heels of an investigation which revealed that she had an addiction to prescription pills and would send her minor children into drug houses to purchase the narcotics for her. When the children did not comply with Ramos’ wishes, he would beat the children with whatever materials she had on hand, including broomsticks, belts and knives.

Additionally, she would withhold food and basic human necessities from her children if they didn’t abide by her mandates.

In one instance, she is accused of beating a child’s fingers with a hammer for non-compliance, and urinating on another child. To exacerbate matters even more,

Ramos is accused of prostituting one of her daughters, so that she could get drugs to feed

her habit.

The Department of Children and Families investigated Ramos on multiple occasions, but each time she warned her children to not tell investigators the truth, or they would suffer more severe consequences.

Ramos was finally arrested last fall, but spent only two months in jail before posting a $100,000 bond. Now, she’s back on the run. Ramos is likely to still be in the area – potentially in neighborhoods prone to drug activity.
