A man travelling east on Frederick Reid Street East (near the intersection of Hawthorne Avenue South) in Lehigh Acres lost control of his ATV, causing it to flip several times on Saturday, July 23 at around 4:55 p.m., according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

The rider was not wearing a helmet and suffered multiple injuries including major head trauma. The rider was transported to the hospital, where he later died, a spokesman with the Sheriff’s Office said.

The victim was identified as Brian Lee Nunez, 24, of 1139 Little League Road, Immokalee. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit investigated the accident.
