Gayle F. Kerwinsky

Gayle F. Kerwinski, 71, of Sebring, Fla., formerly of Lehigh Acres, died on July 31, 2011 with family and friends by her side at her daughter’s home in Cape Coral. She was born on July 26, 1940 in Jacksonville, a child of Joseph B. and June E. (Clark) Milord.

A resident of Sebring for the past five years she formerly lived in Lehigh Acres, Fort Myers, and Fort Myers Beach since 1969. She was employed by the Lee County School District for more than 30 years as a teacher’s aide and “clinic lady” at Lehigh Elementary School and most of the time at Tice Elementary School.

Kerwinski is survived by her husband of 21 years, Ralph J. Kerwinski; her children, Douglas (Leslie) Johnston of Merritt Island, Fla., Evelyn J. (Ken) Johnston-Pike of Cape Coral, Richard J. (Ramona) Johnston of Fort Myers and Michael Shea Johnston of Orlando; her step daughters, Kimberley T. Kerwinski and Kara M. Crass, both of New Monmouth, N.J., seven grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, DeeAnn Milord of Delray Beach, Fla., and Judy Post of Ocala, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held by the family.
