George J. Saffron

George John Saffron, 77, of Lehigh Acres, died on August 16, 2011 in Tampa. He was born June 22, 1934 in Plainfield N.J., to the late George and Pearl Saffron.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955. He moved to Florida in the 1970s and ran a successful landscaping business until his retirement.

He is survived by Jean Gogel; his children, John (Melissa) Saffron, Debra (Jerry) Hull, Gary (Christina) Saffron and Lori (Jason) Cassisi, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. Memorial Service are at 11 a.m. at Farley Funeral Home, 1100 Lee Blvd. Lehigh Acres, www.farleyfuneral.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla.
