One swing by catcher Gregg Glime separated the Jupiter Hammerheads from the Fort Myers Miracle Thursday night as Jupiter escaped with a 1-0 win at Hammond Stadium.

Glime yanked Edgar Ibarra’s pitch over the wall in left-center field with two out in the seventh inning to provided the only offense in a pitching duel. Miracle starter Matthew Tomshaw threw five scoreless innings, allowing only one hit, while Hammerhead starter Jose Rosario lasted five innings and yielded three hits.

Jupiter reliever Collin Cargill (1-0) earned his first win of the season, tossing three scoreless and allowing just one hit. The Hammerheads relievers retired the final 13 Miracle hitters and A.J. Ramos nailed down the ninth for his 21st save.

Ibarra (3-9) was the losing pitcher despite allowing just three hits and one run in three innings. Bruce Pugh pitched a perfect top of the ninth with two strikeouts and touching 96 miles per hour on the Hammond Stadium radar gun.

The Miracle (54-68, 20-32) travel to Charlotte Sports Park to take on the Stone Crabs for the first of a three-game series at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
