Become a ‘Mr. or Mrs. Fix-It’ at special classes beginning Aug. 30
Lehigh residents who want to learn how to work on engines in cars, boats and lawn mowers, several other household items and learn skills on your computer are encouraged to sign up for special classes to begin next week.
Lee County High Tech Central will offer short-term, evening classes that will teach how to repair a car, boat or lawn equipment. There’s also a class that will teach how to repair auto body damage. The class will help participants learn the skills to cut the cost of repairs around the house by learning appliance repair, electrical, wood-working, welding, or air conditioning skills.
The school is also offering classes to help students improve their computer skills such as QuickBooks, digital design or keyboarding.
The evening classes start August 30 and most classes meet Tuesday and Thursday from 6-9 p.m. for four to 15 weeks. Those interested can view the entire schedule and register online at (www.hightechcentral.org).
