Preferred Community Bank robbed by two armed bandits

Lee County Sheriff’s investigators are looking for two black males who were wearing masks when they robbed the Preferred Community Bank at 2511 Lee Blvd. in Lehigh, next to Wendy’s fast food restaurant on Wednesday.

The robbery occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m., and authorities are calling it an armed robbery.

According to authorities, witnesses said two black males, wearing masks, entered the bank displayed firearms and demanded cash.

The teller complied and the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Sheriff’s Office Robbery unit officers were assigned to the investigation and have released surveillance photos taken during the robbery.
