Joseph G. Bennett Jr.

Joseph G. Bennett Jr., 85, of Lehigh Acres died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011.,

Bennett was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and a repairman for Sears for 22 years until his retirement in 1983.

He was also a volunteer fireman in Rhode Island,.

He and his wife moved to Lehigh Acres in 1995.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; his son, Robert, a sister, Helen Marks and a sister-in-law, Phyllis (Joseph) Cabral.

Bennett was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Knox.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13 a Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home, 12777 SR82 in Fort Myers.
