The Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a medical assistance call near the intersection of Anaconda Ave. South and Meadow Rd. in Lehigh Acres on Wednesday, at around 12:25 a.m. Deputies discovered a male who had been shot.

The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation. The Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled the death a homicide, Sheriff’s officials said today.

The victim has been identified as Broderick Ford, 18, of Lehigh Acres.
