Surveillance video shows robbery that left man dead
Detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit have released surveillance video from the Sunday morning armed robbery of a convenience store that turned deadly. It can be viewd at NBC-2.com.
Deputies were called to the Back Bay Market at 394 Ortiz Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. There they discovered store clerk Muhammad Ali, 28, seriously injured suffering from a gunshot wound. Ali was rushed to the hospital where he later died, investigators said.
Detectives are hoping someone will recognize the two black male suspects that stormed the convenience store wearing what appear to be Spiderman and Grim Reaper masks.
