October programs at Riverdale Library

October’s roster of activities at Riverdale Branch Library offers topics for all families, children and teens. The following activities are free to the public:

FAMILY

Butterflies Frequent Florida

2 p.m. Saturday, October 15

Master Gardeners from the Lee County Extension Service will share information on butterflies. Butterfly crafts and activities suitable for the whole family will follow the presentation.

Family Storytime

10 a.m. Friday, October 28

This program is for the whole family and lasts about 30 minutes. Registration is required.

CHILDREN

Kids Read Down Fines

10 a.m. 4 p.m. Friday, October 14

Children and teens can earn a $2 coupon for every 15 minutes of reading during the allotted time in the designated area of the library. For ages 18 and younger. Coupons may be applied to cards issued to patrons age 18 and under only.

Teen Read Week- Picture It @ Your Library

Available during normal library operating hours: Tuesday: 12 8 p.m.; Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10 a.m. 6 p.m.; Friday, Saturday: 9 a.m. 5 p.m.

The Friends of the Riverdale Branch Library present the photographs entered in their “One World: We Are Here” photo contest.

The Riverdale Branch Library is located at 2421 Buckingham Road in Fort Myers. For more information about a program or to register, please call the library at (239) 533-4370.
