The public today is being asked to help the Lee County Sheriff’s Office to find a man who has used stolen credit cards in the area.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a vehicle burglary on Monday Sept. 19. The incident occurred two days previously while the victim’s vehicle was parked on Fort Myers Beach at the public access near Strandview Ave., according to the Sheriff’s Office.
A report was completed by an alternate response officer and forwarded to detectives with Sheriff’s Office Charlie District which is continuing the investigation.
Authorities said the investigation reveals the victim’s wallet was stolen from the vehicle. Debit and credit cards were in the wallet and subsequently used at various locations for purchases totaling more than $500.
