Car show, hog roast set for Friday beginning at 4:30 p.m.
A Pumpkin Patch “Harvest Cruise-In” will be held Friday, Oct. 21 along with a hog roast at the First Community Congregational Church at 200 E. Leeland Heights Blvd. in Lehigh Acres. The public is invited to this free event.
Bring your own unique cars to show them off. There is no registration fee to enter the show, said Pastor Deb Frysinger, who made plans for the event.
Register at 4 p.m. and the show runs from 5 to 8 p.m. with door prizes, ribbons, trophies and a 50/50 drawing at 7:30 p.m.
“All types of cars are eligible for our car show, the first ever held by a church on a church parking lot in Lehigh,” Frysinger said.
There are six classes of competition. They include Best in Show, two prizes; Custom, Ram Rod, Daily Driver, Muscle Car, and Antique.
Frysinger said the free car show is sponsored by area businesses.
There also will be a hog roast at the church at 4:30 p.m. for $5 a plate.
“We’ll be giving large helpings of meat, baked beans, ships and drinks,” Frysinger said.
The hog roast is available at half price for car display owners.
