Date or adoption of land code development changes

The adoption of public hearings for the Lehigh Acres Land Development Code (LDC) have been moved to Dec. 13 at 5:05 p.m. in the Board of County Commissioner Chambers and Jan. 10 at 9:30 a.m. in the Board of County Commissioners in Fort Myers, according to an announcement from Kathie Ebaugh, principal planner, Division of Planning, Lee County Department of Community Development.

General Women’s Club to hold annual luncheon

The General Women’s Club of Lehigh Acres will hold its annual luncheon card party and game day on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church at 705 Leeland Heights Blvd in Lehigh. Halloween festivities planned by American Legion

The American Legion Auxiliary will have its annual members’ Children’s Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is only for members’ children and grandchildren. Sign up children at the Post.

That same evening, the Legion will have its annual Halloween Party beginning at 7:30 p.m. with a pot luck dinner. Bring your favorite dish to share. Prizes for best costumes will be awarded. Music will be by Ray “Bouncer” Leventhal. Alcoholic beverages served to members and guests only.

Elks to feature Halloween dance, party on Oct. 29

The Fort Myers Lehigh Acres Elks Lodge No. 1288 will have a Halloween dance and party on Oct. 29 at the Fort Myers Lodge at 1288 for Elks members and their guests. Many Lehigh Elks now attend the lodge in Fort Myers since the lodge in Lehigh was closed.

The bar opens at 4 p.m. and a “Pulled Pork Dinner” will be served at 6 p.m.

Music will be by Sea Breeze and costumes are optional.

Canada Club resumes meetings, beginning Nov. 6
