LRMC offers programs for depression
Inspirations is an outpatient counseling program at Lehigh Regional Medical Center which is especially designed for the senior adult who is experiencing sadness/ depression, loneliness, hopelessness, helplessness, trouble sleeping, tearfulness, giving up, grief, anxiety, or isolation.
It is an intensive outpatient program that includes three group sessions per day, up to five days per week, said Diann Cimring, the hospital’s marketing director.
Patients can choose between the morning and the afternoon groups. A Spanish speaking group is also offered.
Admittance to the program is made by the medical director, Jason Phillips, and a licensed board certified psychiatrist.
The sessions are under the direction of master level therapists.
They are divided into three parts: processing, focus group and a focus fun group. Transportation is provided to and from the program if needed, and a well-balanced, nutritious noon meal is also included, Cimring said. Snacks are offered during the break between sessions.
The program operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Inspirations accepts Medicare and Medicaid or Medicare with a verifiable supplemental insurance.
The program is located at Lehigh Regional Medical Center, 1500 Lee Blvd., in Lehigh.
