Skeletal remains of an adult male were found at the east end of Bonita Beach Road on May 4, 2010. The autopsy and subsequent investigation determined that the deceased was murdered by unknown person(s), according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

The date of his murder is unknown, but it is likely that the death was more than a year prior to the bones being discovered, they said.

Investigators say it is believed that the murder happened elsewhere and the victim’s body was transported to the location where it was found. The victim’s identity is unknown, but he is a male, most likely in his 30s, standing between four feet, nine inches tall to five feet, four inches tall, and may be of Hispanic descent. At the time of his death, the victim was wearing several layers of clothing over top of each other.
