A 35-year-old man was killed in a three-vehicle crash that shut down SR82 for several hours early Sunday.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a 2011 Honda motorcycle, driven by Edgar Rerdomo of Sunrise, hit the rear of a 2007 Toyota Tundra as it tried to make a pass shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday along westbound S82, east of Rod and Gun Club Rd., just outside Lehigh Acres.

Police said the motorcycle lost control and fell onto its side, throwing Rerdomo off the bike. The truck, driven by Eli Zonana, 75, of Lehigh Acres, then spun into eastbound traffic, hitting Rerdomo.
