Wanda L. Crater, obituary

Wanda L. Crater, 78, of Lehigh Acres, died November 13, 2011.

She was born June 6, 1933 in Barberton, Ohio the daughter of Leslie and Elizabeth (Piekkola) Folger.

She graduated as valedictorian of her class at Roscoe High School. She visited all 50 states including driving to Alaska. She loved spending time with her family and she always enjoyed Thanksgiving.. She enjoyed golfing and traveling.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gordon Crater; six children, Penny Lee (Greg) Sabrosky, Bradley (Melissa) Crater, Gregory (Sue) Crater, Mark (Karen) Crater, Jeffrey Crater, and Tamara (Stefan) Farrell; sister Marian Humphrey and brother, Allen (Carol) Grace, 20 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2011 at McGregor Baptist Church, 3750 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Wanda Crater’s memory may be made to Hope Hospice or McGregor Baptist Church.
