Letter Carriers will feel like Santa on Saturday, December 3. Residents in Lehigh Acres are encouraged to place a new, unwrapped toy in or by their mail receptacle for collection by the letter carrier. This one-day toy drive to benefit the Marine Corps League Toys for Tots program yields the majority of the toys that will be shared with underprivileged children locally, postal officials said.

The drive is taking place in Lee, Collier and charlotte counties. In Lee county for pickup of larger items call 239-699-8121.

Monetary donations can be made by credit or debit card at fort-myers-fl.toysfortots.org. Checks can be mailed to Toys For Tots, PO Box 150393, Cape Coral, Fl 33915.

“Please make the holidays brighter for families who are struggling to get by and donate a toy on Saturday, December 3,” said Area Postmaster Debra Mitchell.
