Holiday House open for visitors
Holiday House is open for visitors: Barbara Snyder of Lehigh, who is overseeing the Christmas decorations at the Holiday House at 5006 Lee Blvd. stands in the master bedroom which has been decorated with a tree and ornaments. Even the bathroom at right is decorated. The house, past Gunnery Rd., heading west, is two doors from Lee Street. Every item in the house is being sold at a silent auction, including trees and all types of homemade Christmas decorations. The house opened Dec. 2 and will be open throughout December. It will be open again on Dec. 9 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. and then again on Dec. 10 and 11 from 1 to 6 p.m. Visitors can vote on their favorite rooms, Snyder said. Admission is free and all proceeds from the silent auctions go to the soup kitchens at First Community Congregational Church in Lehigh Acres. In addition to Snyder, professional decorators helped to make each room a holiday room. The house is a model home and is being made available by Adams Home. MEL TOADVINE
