Three men rob Lehigh Citgo early Thursday

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects in a violent Lehigh Acres robbery where the cashier and a customer were robbed at gunpoint early Thursday.
Officials said that at 12:51 a.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Citgo Gas Station, 233 Joel Boulevard, Lehigh Acres.
The investigation revealed three white males wearing ski masks and dressed in black entered the store demanding money. Two of the males were armed. One armed suspect pointed a shotgun at the cashier while the other armed suspect held the handgun to the customer’s head, investigators said.
The suspects left the scene and fled on foot around the north side of the building. A perimeter was quickly established and Aviation and K9 Units responded. An extensive search ensued but the suspects were not located.
