John N. Moore

John Newton Moore, 91, of Portage, MI died December 20, 2011. He had been a resident of Portage since 2008, moving from Lehigh Acres.

He had moved to Florida in 1985 after 36 years as a professor at Michigan State University. He served in the Navy in 1944 – 1945.

He was preceded in death in 1999 by his wife of 58 years, Wilma.

Survivors include his two sons: Douglas W. (Malinda) Moore in Oregon, and Donald N. (Jodi) Moore in Michigan, and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Burial was arranged by Anderson-Patterson Cremation and Funeral Services and has taken place in Lee Memorial Park in Lehigh Acres.
