Charles F. “Chuck” Verney III
Charles F. “Chuck” Verney, Ypsilanti, Mich., died on Jan. 13, 2012.
He was known to his friends as “Chuck.” He was born November 13, 1949 in Detroit and lived in Ypsilanti with his wife, Ellen Stermer Verney. The family will received friends and family Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Nie Family Funeral Home, Carpenter Road Chapel, 2400 Carpenter Road, Ann Arbor, Mich.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Ypsilanti Free Methodist Church, 1800 Packard Rd., Ypsilanti, Mich. Please visit www.niefuneralhomes.com to sign his guest book and leave a memory.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen, his loyal dog Bonnie, sisters’ Charlene Ann Harrison, of Lehigh Acres, Fla., and Pam (Jeff) Pankow, Uncle Hill Gajewski, Aunt Teresa Gajewski, Aunt Joanne Union, nephew Charles Perkins and several cousins. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Lois Stermer of Kalamazoo, and Ellen’s four sisters, three brothers and their children. He had many friends in this area.
He was predeceased by his Mother, Irene (Gajewski) Harmson, his stepfather, “Tim” Norman Harmson, and his father Charles Verney Jr.
Interment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
