Lee County Parks & Recreation invites people to visit the Lehigh Acres Community Pool. It is heated and open to the public year-round.

There are swim lessons beginning March 10. A wide range of skill levels are offered, including adult beginners by American Red Cross Certified instructors. Cost is $40 for eight classes.

Prepare for the beach with aqua aerobics. Choose from an invigorating fast paced workout offered at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday-Friday, or the ultra-low impact National Arthritis Foundation sponsored class at 1:15 p.m., Tuesdays and Fridays.

Classes are in chest-deep water, 45 minutes in length and a great way to keep fit while not impacting heavily on your joints.

There are always lifeguards-on-duty. Lap swimmers welcome.
