Teachers, student earn recognition

Lehigh Acres Middle School is pleased to announce two additional faculty members have been recognized as Teachers of The Year for their dedication and contributions to the school and the community.

Gordon Hardy, band director and chairperson of the music department, has been selected Teacher of the Year by the Lehigh Area Chamber of Commerce for his dedicated service to the school and the community.

Noel Gribble, language arts and environmental education teacher, has been selected as the Ding Darling Environmental Teacher of the Year for his work in promoting environmental education.

In addition to the awards, Lehigh Acres Middle School student Emily Cheshire has been selected Ding Darling’s Environmental Student of the Year.

School receives grant from Lowe’s

Lehigh Acres Middle School is pleased to announce it has received a grant from Lowe’s Home Improvement in the amount of $3,000 for frames for student art works that will hang in the school hallways. A special “thank you” from the LAMS Family for the generous grant.
