Forty-nine seventh-grade students from Lehigh Acres Middle School took part in a field trip to Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa on March 15.

Students were able to off-set the cost of the field trip by selling cookie dough with proceeds covering their expense.

Science teacher Carol Anderson, who coordinated the trip, said the zoo had a special exhibit of 22 life-sizes animatronic dinosaurs which really gave the students a fright.
