Alva Community Center to offer traditional summer camps

The Alva Community Center announces a traditional summer camp for children starting in June.

The camp offers a combination of outdoor/indoor activities, including swimming, arts and crafts, kayaking, fishing, games, tennis lessons and field trips.

Safety is the No.1 concern, so the staff-to-camper ratio is 1-to-15 or less. Open to ages 6-13.

The fee per session of $75; breakfast and lunch offered every day. Register at least two weeks before a session and receive a $5 discount.

– Session I: June 3-7

– Session II: June 10-14

– Session III: June 17-21

– Session IV: June 24-28

– Session V: July 1-5

– Session VI: July 8-12

– Session VII: July 15-19

– Session VIII: July 22-26

An open house will be held before the start of camp; registered campers’ parents will receive notification before summer.

The Alva Community Center is at 21471 N. River Road in Alva.
