Detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit say a man found dead in Lehigh Acres Thursday was the victim of a homicide.

The victim has been identified as Kyle Byrtus, 25, of Fort Myers. His body was discovered in the area of Meadow Road and Leah Court in Lehigh Acres. The cause of death is not being released at this time as the investigation continues.
