Norbert W. Schaefer, 82, of Lehigh Acres, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014.

He was a retiree of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Postal Service.

He enjoyed everything he did in life. He found humor in everything and he shared that humor with everyone. He never met a stranger he did not like.

He will reunite with his wife of 53 years, Bridget, who he has kept waiting in Savannah, Georgia, until he was ready to join her; he is ready now.

He will be missed by his many friends and his sister, Jacqueline; brothers, Robert and John; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bon voyage. We will miss you.
