Louis named to Maryville dean’s list
Lounedine Louis, of Lehigh Acres, has been named to the Maryville College dean’s list for the 2014 spring semester.
Louis is majoring in psychology and theatre studies.
Qualification for the dean’s list includes a grade point average of at least 3.6 in all work undertaken with no grade below a “C.”
Only full-time students are considered for the dean’s list.
Commencement exercises for the Class of 2014 were held May 18. Fall semester classes will begin on Aug. 27.
Maryville College is situated in Maryville, Tennessee. It is the state’s third largest city.
2014 End of Course Exam results released
The Florida Department of Education recently announced the results of the 2014 End of Course Exams for algebra I, biology I, geometry and U.S. history.
Compared to 2013 data, results for Lee County indicate improvement in three tests:
– Algebra I: 2 percent increase
– Geometry: 6 percent increase
– U.S. History: 8 percent increase
The algebra I EOC was administered for the first time in spring 2011, the biology and geometry EOCs were first administered in spring 2012, and the U.S. history EOC was administered for the first time in spring 2013.
