LeeTran sets public meetings about proposed fare increase

LeeTran is seeking input from the public on a proposal to increase its base adult fare from $1.25 to $1.50, as well as its pass prices.

Five meetings will be held at which the public can learn more about the proposal and question LeeTran staff, as well as provide feedback.

The meetings will be held:

– July 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the Suncoast Estates Community Center, at 2241 Case Lane, North Fort Myers

– July 22 at 5:30 p.m. at the East District Sheriff’s Office, at 1301 Homestead Road

– July 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the Bonita Springs City Hall, at 9101 Bonita Beach Road, Bonita Springs

– July 29 at 5:30 p.m. at the Lee County Administration Building, at 2115 Second St., Fort Myers

– July 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the Cape Coral-Lee County Library, at 921 S.W. 39th Terrace, Cape Coral

Those unable to attend a meeting may submit their comments by e-mail to rideleetran@leegov.com, or by visiting: www.LeeCountyTownHall.com.

A public hearing and vote on this proposal will be held by the Board of County Commissioners on Aug. 19 at 5:05 p.m. in Commission Chambers at the old Lee County Courthouse, at 2120 Main St., Fort Myers.
