At 10:02 p.m. July 27, the Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District was dispatched a reported structure fire in the area of Coral Avenue and Andros Street.

Upon arrival, the battalion chief reported heavy fire showing from an attached storage room and carport onto the house of 36 Andros St.

The home has been noted by neighbors to be periodically occupied by vagrants and it was unknown when the last time that anyone occupied the home.

Fire damage to the structure is estimated at $25,000 to $30,000.

There were no reported injuries.

Due to the suspicious nature of the fire, the fire will remain under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office and Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District.
