Off Broadway Palm Theatre now showing ‘Better Late’
The Off Broadway Palm Theatre presents “Better Late” now through Nov. 1.
The funny, yet touching, comedy is written by Larry Gelbart. Gelbart’s other credits include the TV comedy “M*A*S*H*,” the musical “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” and the film “Tootsie.”
“Better Late” features Julian, his ex-wife Nora and her new husband, Lee. Julian is forced to move in with Nora and Lee due to illness and as the days pass, the uncomfortable situation continues to spiral out of control. The laughter builds and the question everyone has is: How long will Julian have to stay?
Portraying Julian is John W. Noble, who is making his debut at Broadway Palm. Nora is played by local actress Nancy Antonio, whose previous credits include “Bill W. and Dr. Bob,” “Flamingo Court,” “Squabbles” and “Nana’s Naughty Knickers.” Lee is played by Robert Summers, who has made numerous appearances in productions.
Also part of the cast is John Keckeisen, who played the lead in this summer’s hit “Boeing, Boeing.” Directing “Better Late” is artistic director Paul Bernier.
Performances are Wednesday through Sunday evenings with selected matinees. Ticket prices range from $31 to $51, with group discounts available for parties of 20 or more.
Tickets can be reserved by calling (239) 278-4422, by visiting: www.BroadwayPalm.com or by stopping by the box office at 1380 Colonial Blvd. in Fort Myers.
