To the editor:

You may have been receiving emails from an email address that closely resembles the email address for Voices of Lehigh, which is a two-and-a-half page section in the real Merchant’s Marketer of SW Florida that is mailed to your homes and businesses each month.

The contents of the email presently floating around town has not been sent by us.

Perhaps there will be more such emails.

The contents of the email are “over the line” and vicious.

The email centers on the Lehigh Acres Fire District referendum and allegations against firefighters involved in criminal activity and other charges.

The citizens of Lehigh Acres deserve to hear both sides of the issue without attempts of dirty tricks. The voters will decide on this issue on election day next month and whatever they decide must be respected.
