Dinner Theater a success

Lehigh Acres Middle School presented its annual Dinner Theater on Oct. 17. Students from the drama and music departments performed songs with a spooky theme and a murder mystery melodrama. Guests dined on spaghetti and salad.

LAMS holds elections

Lehigh Acres Middle School recently held school elections for various offices.

The results are as follows:

– Student Council President – Paige Venhuizen

– Student Council Vice President – Josue Montero-Cervantes

– Student Council Secretary – Trinity Doss

– Student Council Historian – Alexia Rodriquez

The eighth-grade officers are:

– President – Tashae Rawlins

– Vice President – Yuneisis Valdes

The seventh-grade officers are:

– President – Ranaja Adams

– Vice President – Destinee Browning

The sixth-grade officers are:

– President – Amaria Tarver

– Vice President?- Bella Rose Jenkins

Financial Aid Night scheduled

Lee County Public Schools, with the help of a financial aid expert, will host several Financial Aid Nights. One will be held today, Nov. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the auditorium at the Lehigh Senior High School, at 901 N. Gunnery Road.

Attendees will learn about the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form and steps they need to take to help their children receive financial aid from postsecondary institutions.

College financial aid experts will cover the definition of financial aid, how to apply, deadlines, step-by-step instructions for completing the FAFSA, Bright Futures and state aid versus federal aid and more.
