Road surfacing projects announced
Lee County Commissioner Frank Mann of Alva said today that he is “happily announcing that this past Tuesday, the board of county commissioners would approve a contract funded by local option gas taxes which will provide for the resurfacing of 58 additional roads in Lehigh Acres.
Residents of the community complain over many of the hundreds of roads that are not pave or have been paved and are in poor condition.
“I am very pleased that we continue this high level of funding for this badly needed service to the citizens of Lehigh Acres,” Mann said.
Over the last eight years while Mann has been a member of the County Commission, Lehigh has benefited from resurfacing 140 miles of roads throughout Lehigh Acres.
He said he continues to make this one of his top priorities going into the next budget cycle.
