Army Pvt. Clarissa L. Nazarlo graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

During the training, she studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, and received instruction in combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.

Nazarlo is the daughter of Carlos O. Nazario, of Lehigh Acres, and Damaris P. Nazario, of Fort Myers.

She is a 2014 graduate of Lehigh Senior High School.
