Lee County Community Band lists concerts
The Lee County Community Band will perform an annual holiday concert on Jan. 11.
The performance will feature the brass section in “Trumpets,” “Ol!” and the “Liechtensteiner Polka,” plus a Dixieland combo, selections from “Oliver!” and the “Light Cavalry Overture.”
Other concerts this season are set for the following dates:
– Feb. 8
– March 8
– April 12
All of the concerts will be held at 3 p.m. in the auditorium at Cape Coral High School, at 2300 Santa Barbara Blvd.
The programs are free of charge, but donations are accepted.
The band rehearses Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Michael Lutheran School in Fort Myers. New members are welcome.

Artists, photographers, quilters, sculptors, artisans, craftsmen and writers are invited to participate and sell. Local students will be showcasing their creations.
Live music and entertainment will be performed in the gazebo throughout the day, and children will enjoy the wandering characters and special events.
Admission is free.
Food vendors will be on site.
Vendor set up will be held on Jan. 31 from 8 to 10 a.m. Tear down will be after 3 p.m.
A 10-by-10 space for Arts of the Inland members is $30; the non-member cost is $60. The deadline to reserve a spot is Jan. 16.

Arts of the Inland is sponsoring a youth art contest at the 4-H FunDay on Jan. 24.
Three categories will be judged by the AOI members, with ribbons awarded as follows:

– Ages 8-12 and ages 13-18 can create a picture of “family fun” using color pencils and unlined 8-1/2-by-11 paper.

Book launching, stage play event planned
A book launching and stage play based on the book, “Entitled Abused under His Charm,” will be held Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lehigh Domino Club, at 350 Homestead Road.
The event is open to the public.
Speakers will include child abuse survivor CJ Love, local law enforcement, Colleen Henderson from the Abuse Counseling and Treatment Center and more.
Written by Sherell Rosegreen, “Entitled Abused under His Charm” recounts the story of Martha, whose downward spiral at the hands of her initially charming abuser cost her career, her friends and her child, and almost her life.
An abuse survivor herself, Rosegreen founded the not-for-profit Inner-Scars Domestic Violence Organization in 2014 to help victims of domestic abuse.

Arts of the Inland is sponsoring a youth art contest at the 4-H FunDay on Jan. 24.
Three categories will be judged by the AOI members, with ribbons awarded as follows:

– Ages 8-12 and ages 13-18 can create a picture of “family fun” using color pencils and unlined 8-1/2-by-11 paper.

Book launching, stage play event planned
A book launching and stage play based on the book, “Entitled Abused under His Charm,” will be held Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lehigh Domino Club, at 350 Homestead Road.
The event is open to the public.
Speakers will include child abuse survivor CJ Love, local law enforcement, Colleen Henderson from the Abuse Counseling and Treatment Center and more.
Written by Sherell Rosegreen, “Entitled Abused under His Charm” recounts the story of Martha, whose downward spiral at the hands of her initially charming abuser cost her career, her friends and her child, and almost her life.
An abuse survivor herself, Rosegreen founded the not-for-profit Inner-Scars Domestic Violence Organization in 2014 to help victims of domestic abuse.

Lee County Community Band lists concerts
The Lee County Community Band will perform an annual holiday concert on Jan. 11.
The performance will feature the brass section in “Trumpets,” “Ol!” and the “Liechtensteiner Polka,” plus a Dixieland combo, selections from “Oliver!” and the “Light Cavalry Overture.”
Other concerts this season are set for the following dates:

– March 8
– April 12
All of the concerts will be held at 3 p.m. in the auditorium at Cape Coral High School, at 2300 Santa Barbara Blvd.

Hosted by Arts of the Inland and the LaBelle Downtown Revitalization Corp, the 4th Annual Inland Art, Craft & Music Festival will be held Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Barron Park in LaBelle.
Artists, photographers, quilters, sculptors, artisans, craftsmen and writers are invited to participate and sell. Local students will be showcasing their creations.
Live music and entertainment will be performed in the gazebo throughout the day, and children will enjoy the wandering characters and special events.

Vendor set up will be held on Jan. 31 from 8 to 10 a.m. Tear down will be after 3 p.m.
