Noble makes honor roll
Jerald D. Noble, of Lehigh Acres, made the Scholastic Honor Roll for the fall term at Oregon State University.
A senior who is studying horticulture, Noble had a 3.5 or better.
A total of 861 students earned straight-A (4.0). Another 3,598 earned a B-plus (3.5) or better to make the listing.
To be on the Honor Roll, students must carry at least 12 graded hours of course work.
Annual fairs planned
The Thomas Alva Edison Kiwanis Science and Engineering Fair and the Thomas A. Edison Inventors Fair will be held on Feb. 7 at Florida Gulf Coast University.
An Edison Festival of Light event, they will showcase 400 science fair projects and approximately 300 inventions.
Judging at 9 a.m. The inventors fair will be open to the public from 1:30 to 4 p.m.; the science fair will be open from 2 to 5 p.m.
