Arts of the Inland picks Artist of the Month
The Arts of the Inland’s Artist of the Month for February is Connie Killebrew.
Two of her paintings have placed in local art shows. “Lion’s Point of View” took first place at the 2014 Inspirations Art Show in April, and “Sweet Nothings” won first place at the 2014 Perceptions Art Show in November.

She will talk about what plants contain the most vitamins and minerals, as well as which plants are not worth bothering with.

Hosted by the Garden Club of Cape Coral, the 7th annual March in the Park will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 14 at Jaycee Park in Cape Coral.
The plant and garden art sale will feature more than 60 vendors, with palm trees, shrubs, natives, bromeliads, perennials and ground covers of all kinds.
Garden art, such as gourds, glass towers, sea shell designs and stepping stones, will be on hand, as well as natural soaps, oils and salts.
Master gardeners will be on site to answer questions, with informative speakers every half-hour.
The Hibiscus Society and the Cape Coral Historical Society and Museum will have information.
Creative projects will be found at the children’s booth. Raffle drawings will be held, with food and live music on site.
Free admission and parking.
The event proceeds will benefit programs supported by the club.

The plant and garden art sale will feature more than 60 vendors, with palm trees, shrubs, natives, bromeliads, perennials and ground covers of all kinds.
Garden art, such as gourds, glass towers, sea shell designs and stepping stones, will be on hand, as well as natural soaps, oils and salts.
Master gardeners will be on site to answer questions, with informative speakers every half-hour.
The Hibiscus Society and the Cape Coral Historical Society and Museum will have information.
Creative projects will be found at the children’s booth. Raffle drawings will be held, with food and live music on site.

The event proceeds will benefit programs supported by the club.

Pool offers aerobics
The Lehigh Acres Community Pool, at 1400 W. Fifth St., is heated and open year-round.
Commit to get fit with aqua aerobics. Choose from a fast-paced workout at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday through Friday or the ultra-low impact class at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday and Friday sponsored by the National Arthritis Foundation. Classes are in chest deep water and 45 minutes in length.
There are lifeguards-on-duty. Lap swimmers welcome.

Healthy Harvest Community Farms, at 607 Mirror Lakes Drive, hosts the following boot camps:
– Mondays and Fridays from 6 to 7 p.m. at Williams Park
– Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Veterans Park
– Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m and Saturdays from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Healthy Harvest Community Farms
The classes are free; donations are welcome and appreciated. At least 10 people must be signed up for a class to take place.
