Easter egg hunts and spring events planned
Children are invited to put their egg-hunting skills to the test at several events planned in advance of Easter. Other springtime events also are being offered by Lee County Parks and Recreation this month.
Some activities include:
– Caloosahatchee Regional Park will host a Baby Animals Preschool Program from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. April 1. Participants will meet at the campground entrance at 19130 N. River Road. The cost is $5 per preschooler. A parking fee is required. Registration is required. For information, call Kelly Flaherty at (239) 822-5212. Register online at: www.leeparks.org or (239) 533-7440.
Guided nature hikes will be provided by Conservation 20/20 Ranger Mickey Miller. Each hike is limited to 15 people so RSVP at MMiller2@leegov.com or (239) 229-0522.
Skill level and distance varies. Parking for vehicles is primitive and limited and there are no restroom facilities on-site. Remember to bring items you may need during the hike, including water, hat, sunscreen, binoculars, camera and closed-toed shoes or boots.
