LCSO crashes wanted man’s bash
On March 12, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office conducted an undercover surveillance operation on one of Lee County’s most violent offenders and drug traffickers, Eddie “Fat Eddie” Saez.
Saez was wanted on criminal felony charges for his involvement in a shooting incident earlier in the year. He was scheduled to participate and host a “birthday bash,” along with other members of Lee County’s most violent offenders, at Club Suggars, at 1920 Boy Scout Drive in Fort Myers.
The operation resulted in undercover detectives observing a large-scale narcotics deal conducted by Saez prior to the bash at his residence, at 1300 N. Connie Ave.
Over five pounds of marijuana were exchanged for a large amount of U.S. currency. As a result of the transaction, detectives secured a search warrant for the home.
A search of the residence yielded a firearm, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, 6.5 pounds of marijuana and miscellaneous items of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, over $12,000, as well as a 2009 Nissan Maxima was seized for forfeiture.
Eddie Saez, 24, was charged with possession of firearm by convicted felon, discharging weapon from a vehicle, firing weapon missile into vehicle dwelling, using firearm during felony offense, marijuana distribution and possession of marijuana over 20 grams.
Angel Vasquez, 23, of 408 S.E. Ninth Place, Cape Coral, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana over 20 grams
Larissa Jones, 22, of 1318 S.E. 40th Terrace, Cape Coral, was charged with possession of marijuana.
