Passport Saturdays at Lee Clerk of Courts
The Lee County Clerk of Courts Recording Office will be open to process passport applications on March 21 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Second Floor of the Lee County Administration Building, at 2115 Second St.
Children 15 and under must apply with both parents; minors between the ages 16-17 must apply with at least one parent present.
No appointment is necessary.
Regular passport service turnaround time is approximately 4 to 6 weeks; expedited passport service turnaround time is 2 to 3 weeks.

Autism screening available for youth
The Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida will offer a free autism spectrum disorder screening for children ages 18 months to 5 years old.
Held on the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, it will take place March 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sanctuary Outpatient Center, at 8960 Colonial Center Drive, Fort Myers.
The screenings are administered by an advanced registered nurse practitioner, who has extensive training and experience in typical child development and developmental disorders.
A physician referral is not required. To schedule a screening, call (239) 343-6838.

The Gulf Coast Writers Association will hold its annual meeting, with election of officers and GCWA Writing Contest Awards, on March 28 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, at 2439 MacGregor Blvd., Fort Myers.

It is a one-day reptile event, where vendors offer pets, supplies, feeders, cages and merchandise, as well as live animal seminars and free raffles for prizes.
Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-12; children under the age of 5 are free.
